A beautiful day at the marsh. Start with a 37 degree temperature as I get in my sea kayak, and a dense wet fog hangs over the calm water. My hands are numb and I can't feel the shutter button! But then a beautiful young deer swims out of the fog directly in front of my boat and my numb shutter finger comes to life. It sees me but doesn't alter it's strong swimming stroke until it reaches the far shore line, as I follow slowly behind it admiring it's beauty and swimming ability. The incredible marsh is full of life on this cold fall morning, so i don't dare complain about the cold and numb hands.
