Seeing life through a lens of celebration, I see beauty, metaphors and stories in my everyday experiences that must have been there all along, but went unnoticed. I've been able to 'travel' to places, 'meet' people, and 'share' life experiences I might never have had the chance to do otherwise. I feel the joy, wonder and celebration of each image and I love how each one connects me to a world outside my own, and makes me realize our commonality.

My newfound focus on celebration encourages me to look at my life differently, opening up a whole new world. I love, and wholeheartedly welcome, the challenge of finding the right words to express what each of my images means to me; it empowers me and lifts me to a level of gratitude that I have never experienced before.

The best part of Celebrate though, is the genuine camaraderie and fellowship that has developed over the years with so many people who share my passion for bringing hope and light into the world.  I feel so blessed to be a part of Dewitt's vision to Celebrate What's Right!

Seeing life through the lens of celebration has been transformative for me.

As a child, I was taught to focus on what's wrong. My teacher's red pen marked my mistakes, and as an adult, it was all too easy to apply the red pen myself— to circle my flaws and weaknesses as well as those of others.

Now celebrating what's right, both with myself and others, has made me kinder, more compassionate and more loving. I have come to find wonderment not only in the extraordinary, but also the mundane. So, boredom? Well, it’s pretty much non-existent.

Celebration has also helped prepare me for life's storms. Difficult situations are part of the human condition, but the daily practice of celebration allows me to find something good no matter what challenges I face. Celebrating what's right with the world is a self-fulfilling prophecy. It makes life truly worth celebrating!

When I first learned of Dewitt’s efforts to start a website whose purpose was to celebrate all that is right with the world, I was immediately ignited with enthusiasm. I wanted to be a part of this! I knew this was exactly what I needed - to look at life "through a different lens”. And through this lens, I have witnessed a world filled with beauty that was always there – I just couldn’t see it.

I'm happy to say that Dewitt Jones and our Celebrate tribe of like-minded, optimistic, from-the-heart people have helped me onto another path in life – one of peace, gratitude and celebration.
