Today, I celebrate the changing of the seasons... Fall announced it's arrival with a cold chill and a gentle rain, washing away the dust of summer as it prepares nature's canvas for autumn's color show. I lie here, the stillness punctuated only by the sound of the rain on the roof, realizing that this moment is all there is and it is perfect. Soon I will rise and venture out into the day to check the view from our Rim, a view I've seen a thousand times before, a view that is ever new and always exciting, a view that has been here before man ever was and will be here long after I am gone. I am grateful for the gift of seeing it one more time. It is good to be alive.
